Found my next project!

I found it!  My extra project for this week!  I don't think it'll be too challenging but these little ornaments are just too cute to pass up!  The hardest part will probably be trying to find the felt to make the eyes but maybe I'll come up with an alternative!  I found this pattern here:

Monday Morning

It's Monday again!  I feel like it's Monday more often than any other day of the week.  Why can't it feel like that on Saturday - how lovely would it be if every day could start off with a Saturday morning - laying in bed until 10:30, finally getting up to finish a few crochet projects while still in my p.j.'s, going for brunch with my boo and then just wandering around the city until my feet get weary.  Mmmmmmm, Saturday mornings are the best.  I'm getting my to-do list ready for the week and even though I have a couple of orders to finish up I really want to find something new to attempt!  Last week was the crochet collar - which I loved so much! and owl hats for little ones but this week I want a new challenge.  Maybe I'll make a pair of fingerless mitts for my boyfriend for a Christmas gift?!  I haven't found a pattern that I love yet but I guess I could play around with a few ideas.  I'm sure I'll post a picture of the results once I'm finished!

Finally!

Last night I finally had a couple of minutes to work on a new project that I have been dying to try - a crocheted collar! I found the pattern here: www.lululoves.co.uk and it was just so pretty I had to make it! And it wasn't too hard but I think next time I would use a smaller hook and yarn to make a more delicate/lacey looking collar. I can't wait to make more for my friends!

My thrift store finds of the week!

From top left corner: authentic western wear shirt $6.99 (a gift for my boo), film photography book $3.99, cardigan for me $7.99 and purple wool for a future project $3.99. Not too shabby!

Hello Everyone!

Lately I've become obsessed with crocheting.  I've been crocheting since the young age of 6 or 7 so it's not a new hobby for me or anything but this year I decided to start selling my handiworks on Etsy instead of forcing it on my loved ones (who already own more than enough winter woolies).  So this blog is going to be about all the things that I love - wool, crocheting, photography, travel, food and other misc.  I hope you enjoy!
